Frequently asked questions
Happy Paws Cayman currently accepts KYD or USD cash, checks payable to the Company Owner, and Cayman National Bank deposits.
All clients are required to keep an active credit card on file in their Happy Paws Cayman account.
Services are not booked, and availability cannot be guaranteed, until payment is received in accordance with our policies:
• Packages must be paid in full at the time of purchase.
• Vacation services require a 50% payment before the first scheduled visit.
Due to the high demand for our services, we are unable to make exceptions to our payment policies.
Refunds and Cancellations
No refunds are issued.
Any remaining credit - after cancellation fees are applied - will be added to your Happy Paws Cayman account for future use.
Regular Walks and Pet Sitting Visits
• Cancellations made with more than 24 hours’ notice will be accepted without charge.
• Cancellations made less than 6 hours before the visit will be charged at the full service rate, as we cannot rebook your time slot.
Overnight Stays
• Cancellations made 48 hours or more before the first night will be charged a $25 cancellation fee per night.
• Cancellations made with less than 48 hours’ notice will be charged at the full nightly rate for all nights reserved.
Holiday Reservations
• Must be paid in full at the time of booking.
• Cancellations made 7 days or more before the first visit will receive a 50% Happy Paws Cayman credit for the entire reservation.
• Cancellations made with less than 7 days’ notice are non-refundable and do not receive credit.
We kindly request advance notice whenever possible.
To avoid non-refundable fees, please cancel your reservation more than 24 hours in advance for regular services or more than 7 days in advance for holiday bookings.
Security is our top priority. All client keys are securely managed by your assigned pet sitter and Happy Paws Cayman Management. Keys are labeled only with your account number, never your name or address. In the unlikely event they are lost or stolen, they cannot be traced back to you. Each key is logged into our system and signed in or out anytime it is exchanged between your sitter and our office. This ensures we always know the exact location of your keys.
Your keys will be tested and collected prior to the start of services during your In-Home Consultation, Sitter Meeting, or a scheduled Key Pickup appointment.
Once collected, your keys are stored discreetly and securely at our office for future services.
We do not leave keys inside your home or lock them inside after the final visit.
If your keys are not ready during your in-home consultation, a separate Key Pickup must be scheduled.
Additional visits for Key Pickup or Sitter Meetings are $10.
We can also securely destroy and dispose of your keys free of charge upon request.
