Our Story
More than a decade ago, Happy Paws Cayman began with a simple but powerful belief: pets deserve care where they feel safest - at home.
While working at a doggie daycare, founder Julisa noticed a common concern among pet parents. Many wished for trusted, professional caregivers who could look after their pets in their own homes rather than sending them away. The need for personalized, in-home pet care was clear.
As a proud Caymanian, Julisa understood the unique lifestyle and close-knit nature of the Cayman Islands. Combining hands-on animal care experience with her passion for service, she created Happy Paws Cayman to meet that need in a way that felt personal, reliable, and community-focused.
What began as a passion-driven idea has grown into a trusted pet care organization serving families across the Cayman Islands for over 10 years. Today, Happy Paws Cayman remains rooted in the same values it was founded on compassion, professionalism, reliability, and genuine love for animals.

Every logo has a meaning - ours has a heartbeat.
At the heart of the Happy Paws Cayman logo are two very special souls who
shaped not only our brand, but our founder’s life and purpose.
The kitty in our logo is Zeus, Julisa’s very first pet and lifelong companion. Adopted from the Cayman Islands Humane Society, Zeus was there through some of life’s most defining moments. He lived an incredible 20 years, offering unconditional love, quiet comfort, and unwavering loyalty. Zeus wasn’t just a pet he was family, and the beginning of everything.
Beside him sits Triko, a rescued pup with a big heart and an even bigger personality. For 7 wonderful years, Triko filled Julisa’s life with joy, laughter, muddy paws, and endless tail wags. Together, Zeus and Triko taught powerful lessons about compassion, responsibility, and the deep bond we share with animals.
They are the reason Happy Paws Cayman exists.
Today, that legacy lives on. Julisa is still surrounded by paws, whiskers, and unconditional love now with Sherry, Olive, and Socks, affectionately known as her SOS Team (because pets always know when you need saving).
Our logo is more than a design. It’s a tribute to rescue, love, second chances, and the animals who change us forever. It represents where we started, why we do what we do, and our promise to care for every pet as if they were our own.
