Cancellation Policies
All cancellations are REQUIRED to be submitted via Log in to the Happy Paws Cayman secure online system. After you log in, select the appropriate dates on the home screen, and press, “cancel” on the services needing cancellation. You will be emailed a confirmation of your cancellation.
HOLIDAY & OVERNIGHT CANCELLATION POLICY
An AUTOMATIC 25% cancellation fee applies to ALL Overnight Services and ALL services booked on and around major holidays, and all Cayman Islands Public School Holidays & general vacation times. Those with recurring schedules must cancel 30 days in advance for waiver of the 25% holiday cancellation fee. Please see below for exact holiday dates that require the 25% cancellation fee.
For all holiday week & school vacation week services canceled with less then 48 hours notice, payment is required in full.
For any overnight canceled with less than 48 hours notice, payment is required in full.
The automatic 25% cancellation fee applies to all overnight services:
Holiday Service
Additional $15 added to each visit on holidays.
Additional $25 added to each overnight visit on holidays
*Holidays that incur our additional $15 charge per visit are at the sole discretion of Happy Paws Cayman. At times we may charge holiday rates on the days leading up to and after the holiday. This additional charge is used to pay our team and ensure we have the availability to offer our services 365 days per year.
Why is the Cancellation Policy Important for Clients & Staff of Happy Paws Cayman?
At Happy Paws Cayman it very important that we take great care of our clients and also our valuable employee pet sitters. The cancellation policies ensure fairness to all involved.
We absolutely hate to turn away any of our excellent clients because we are fully booked, but from time to time this does occur. The cancellation polices helps to keep space available in our schedule for those who really need it, because we are only booking services with those that are certain they need us and know that cancellation policies apply should they need to cancel. I would hate to turn away a client because we are full, only to have someone cancel on short notice whose space I could of given to someone who really needed it. This occurs often around holidays & school vacation weeks, our schedule fills up, then many clients wait until the last moment to cancel, which makes it impossible for us to services the clients we had turned away.
In addition to this, our excellent employee Pet Sitters set aside time in their busy schedules to service our clients. We believe that our sitters deserve to be paid when their work is cancelled on short notice. Imagine a job were the work you depended on could be cancelled at any moment with no pay. The cancellation of one or two visits does not seem like a big deal but just imagine that times several clients all cancelling a few visits during the same week. We want to keep all of our top-notch pet sitters employed with Happy Paws Cayman for a very long time so we choose to pay them for services on their schedule that are cancelled on short notice.
Our cancellation polices are put in place so that Happy Paws Cayman can serve our pets & clients in the most efficient & effective manner possible.
NO REFUNDS
Your Happy Paws Cayman account will be credited any amounts left after cancellation fees have been applied.
- A $10 per visit short notice cancellation fee will be charged for all pet sitting visits, quick visits, and dog walks cancelled with LESS than a complete weeks' notice from any packages bought or services requested. Client agrees that regular scheduled walks and sits cancelled less than 6 hours will be charged the walks normal rate, if you cancel 24 hours before your reservation, we will accept your cancellation. If you cancel less than 6 hours, you will be charged for the visits, as we will not be able to rebook your time slot. Overnight Stay cancellation fee will be $25 per night every night cancelled before 48 hours of service. Full price will be charged per night every night cancelled LESS than a complete 48 hours' notice. All Holiday reservations must be paid in full at booking. Cancellations 7 days prior to the first visit are entitled to a 50% Happy Paws Cayman credit for entire schedule and will be given a credit that can be used towards future visits. Cancellations less than one week notice are non-refundable and will not receive a Happy Paws Cayman credit. We cannot resell time that has been expressly held and reserved for you. To avoid the non-refundable fee, please contact Happy Paws Cayman with more than 24 hours’ notice (or 7 days if it’s a Holiday reservation) if you need to reschedule an appointment. Services are NOT canceled until you receive notice via email that your "services have been canceled as requested."
